The UNIQUENESS of the EAGLE!

The United States of America, the most powerful nation on Earth, uses the eagle as its symbol of power and majesty since the year 1782. Many other nations across the world use the eagle symbolically mostly in their coat of arms, examples of these nations: Coat of Arms of Germany, Ghana, Indonesia, Iraq, Mexico etc The Eagle has also been used symbolically in the past by great empires like the Persian Empire whose army was symbolized by an Eagle. Other empires were the Roman Empire, Byzantine Empire, Russian Empire, etc. 

God too in His great wisdom also did use the Eagle many times symbolically to represent strength (Isaiah 40:31), swiftness (Habakkuk 1:8), messenger (Revelation 8:13) etc

Modern musicians also recognize the Eagle’s abilities e.g. Reggae musician Alaine in her wonderful Lyrics “Up” where she passes the clear yet powerful message that you should live a stress free life, “Just open your eyes, reach to the skies, soaring up higher, spread your wings and fly…”( I personally find a lot of inspiration from this fantastic song!) An Allegory of a MAD MAN

It was one of the biggest crusades that I have ever held. People were flocking from all directions and it was evident that the lord was on my side, and I was going to win as many proselytes as possible. Every time I stood to preach on the pulpit, I could see many people attentively listening to my sermons. People were leaving their business and daily works just to come and listen to me.

“Pastor Kiasman is truly a prophet, his words are very encouraging. His sermons are real food for thought and a healing for our souls.” I once heard a woman say. Many troubled people had found peace and tranquility after listening to my encouraging sermons. Truly, God was on my side. But the real test for my faith was on the way.

THE FOLLY OF MODERN CHRISTIANITY

My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.” This was God speaking to the people of Israel through Hosea. But were I in a position to communicate with the modern Christians, I would say the same or even worse, since modern Christianity is full of folly and confusion reigns in all its ranks even someone who does not know much about Christianity would easily conclude that something is seriously wrong with this religion and there is a need for serious reforms if the so called Christians are to continue being true Christians.

Let us consider some of the reasons why I feel that Christianity as a religion has gone astray and majority who think they are Christians are doomed and living an extremely deluded life.

Sadducees and Pharisees of the modern Society

Jacob was the new employee in the block fresh from college who had just graduated with a Degree in Tele-Communication electronics. He had an amazing talent in the Information and Communication Technology and was much willing to share the knowledge in his new work place. The company intercom had not been upgraded to be at par with the modern systems and Jacob being an expert in Electronics proposed an upgrade for the whole system and to have it managed centrally via software installed in a computer where you can be able to monitor the signals and overlook if everything is running smoothly. With that knowledge he went with his proposal to the company’s IT manager. But the IT manager turned down the proposal citing that the system has been running smoothly all along and does not see the need for the upgrade. But the truth was the IT Manager did not want the young man to outshine him after being in the company for more than 10 years. He went ahead and threatened the young man that should he hear him proposing anything else for the IT Dept, he will make sure that he gets fired since he did not want any proposal that if implemented would “damage” the entire organizations image. Moreover, he told Jacob that managing the IT dept is not a bed of roses and so he should stop thinking in that direction and only concentrate with his work as per the company policies.
