10 reasons why you should belong to a dedicated internet forum

The internet and world wide web is full of “free” information. Whenever you want to know about something, just going to Google search, typing some terms and that instant Google gives you over 1,000 answers or topics. But with all that information overload, how easy is it to get the relevant information? How accurate is the information? Who is there to check for accuracy and relevance of the information? In short, Google assumes a lot. It is like someone trying to teach you how to swim, and instead of taking you through step by step, instead he throws you right in the midst of an ocean expecting you to figure out how to swim, you might learn, or drown.
This is where internet forums come in. What is a forum? an Internet discussion group for participants with common interests. Most consumer based websites are now founding their own forums to serve their clients better, to target more clients and to educate their clients on their products and services. They are not taking chances with the recent information overload all over the internet.
So why should you belong to an internet forum?

ONE: You meet people with common interest
This is the greatest reason to belong to an internet forum. It is not always so easy to go asking Google for terms, digging through tones of information, sieving what is relevant and ignoring what is irrelevant. When you join a forum e.g. business forum, travel and tourism forum, love and sex forum, penis enlargement forum, marriages forum, etc. You meet people who are there solely for that one purpose and it is easy to interact and discuss issues with them, rather than sailing alone in the sea of “google” and risking getting lost.

TWO: Organized categories of topics
Most forums which are dedicated for a certain topic have a centralized location where a new user can access any information by going straight to the topic of interest and ignoring those he/she does not wish to see. Unlike Facebook where there is only one vertical timeline, forums normally have indexed topics where users just go straight to topic of interest.

THREE: Sense of belonging
After a period of time interacting with people who share common interests you make friends, feel more open and feel you belong to the community, this makes it easier to open up and seek help to members, you may even get to learn new things you never knew!

FOUR: Easy to get help
Since most forum are ran by experts of the topics being discussed there, it is easy to get help. Moreover since most members are already people who are interested with the topics of the forum they can easily give you a straight quick answers to your questions, unlike spending all the time on Google digging through information.

FIVE: Specialized topics
As most forums are dedicated for a certain niche, you go there expecting to only be getting the specialized topics  which are the reasons why the forum was made. Unlike on Facebook where everyone is likely posting anything he wants and most of the topics are irrelevant, or just jokes, with some spammers and scammers, forums are well managed such that the only thing you find there is what took you there.

SIX: Good management
Forum owners have invested their time to build the forum, e.g. in terms of time, software, domain, platform, books etc. So you expect them to be dedicated to manage the forum.

SEVEN: More control over your membership
Since most forums enable you to have a personalized profile, you can control your membership based on your preferences. Also since most forums have small population of dedicated members, it is easy for moderators, administrators and forum managers to manage each individual account, even to assist members when they are stuck.

EIGHT: Periodic emails from the forum
Most forums, and good forums have mailing lists where they send breaking news to members, send topic to members via emails, enable members to subscribe to topics of interest not to miss out etc.

NINE: Access to more products related to the forum
If a forum for example is a business forum, it is easy to get business deals there even from members than just sailing alone through the internet. Also if a forum is for love and sex, it is easier to get a love and sex E – book from members or forum owners than going all over internet searching for the book. Most forums ensure they make it easier for members to access related products and services as part of their work.

TEN: Privacy of membership
Most forums are locked from public view except those which perhaps wishes to stream to the public. Forums which handle sensitive issues e.g. Love and sex, vaginal enhancements, impotence issues, penis enlargement, etc. They ensure that members are protected from publicity so that the sensitive issues that are handled there can never scandalize anyone. Unlike Facebook forums where people can make free accounts, forums mostly restrict membership to subscriptions for little payment, either one time payment or periodic. Can you imagine posting you need assistance from members e.g. “My vagina has gotten so loose since I gave birth what can I do to restore it?” only to have your son who has access to a smart phone see the post?
Privacy is paramount for sensitive issues.

Internet forums have made it easier to access topical issues unlike digging through for information and perhaps never getting the right information.
