6 Terrible ways men are using social media to steal from women in the name of love

Ladies beware…
There is a very organized syndicate of criminals stealing from well of ladies in the name of love.
There is a rising trend amongst some cunning men who are seriously conning women in the name of love. They normally target desperate ladies, who are independent, earning and are willing to love. They are social predators so lethal such that once they are done with you; you are left miserable, bitter, depressed and even suicidal.
These men are exploiting the woman’s feelings. He will come into your life with all sweet words, promises of lots of romance, he will even take you to outings at his expense, some are even driving cars….hired or their own no one knows…but woe unto you, he is a snake waiting the right moment to strike.
Once you trust him so much, the following scenarios will ensue:-

Scenario one:
The man has sealed a business deal which upon reaching to where the deal is being sealed, he will suddenly run out of cash and will request for some urgent soft loan amounting to his estimate upon what you can offer. Some women have even parted with a million! Once the transaction is over and the money is secure with him that is the last you hear of him!

Scenario two:
He drives, you drive. Perfect blessed couple. Then one day his car runs into some mechanical problem and has been taken urgently to a mechanic. So he borrows your car to go and pick some important business associates at airport. The trust you have build he will even leave with you his brand new laptop which has his company profile (unknown to you, the laptop is indeed new, but empty. It might even be worth Kshs 120,000!). Then he will drive comfortably to “airport” with your 2.3 Million fuel guzzler. That is the last time you will see your car!
Some are worse, they will even have borrowed your phone after theirs runs out of battery and go along with it to make those urgent calls. So cunning since he knows your phone is the only thing that photos of you with him! Then he disappears from this world!

Scenario three:
Your man suddenly runs into some problem and he calls you to urgently pick him up at weird hours of the night. You will rush to pick him since you so love him. Along the way, you will be ambushed and your car will be stolen and all you have will be robbed. He has organized that crime and off he goes missing forever. You are left assuming he was killed!

Scenario four:
Women are famous for their greed for rich men, and in this the trap is laid down perfectly. You meet a rich man with lots of business deals. He seems so loving, romantic, caring and so forth. The perfect man. Then as a sign of his commitment to you, he wants to open a business for you worth Kshs 5 Million. So he goes sealing the deals, signing all the papers, importing the goods etc and all along he is involving you. You get carried along and start dancing to his tune. Then out of nowhere, the goods are in customs at airport or seaport or border and he even sends you some photos via whatsapp to see them. But the officers there, being Kenya, want a tip. To release the goods worth Kshs 5 Million they want a bribe of Kshs 500,000. The man tells you. You tell him to bail you out but he tells you he cannot leave the goods there just like that why can’t you just wire that amount after all the business is going to benefit you big! He tells you he has only Kshs 100,000 and so you blindly and urgently do a wire transfer of the remaining amount. That is the last time you will ever see or hear him. Your prince charming from fairly land of fantasy has just vaporized like that!

Scenario five:
The man will have made you fall in love with him. Then since you are so kind, he will always run into some trouble, or his family will always have some financial difficulties and he uses such excuses to con you. He may even punctuate his talks with ,”I just deposited a cheque of 3 Million and I cannot withdraw until it matures please send me 34,000 I will refund you soonest possible”. Once you send, consider it gone.

Scenario six:
This is the worst scenario. The man tricks you till you sleep with him then unknowingly he photographs you naked or even shoots a video of you having sex. Then he will shamelessly use that to blackmail you all along. You are left with no option than to keep sending him money, or he lets loose your naked body all over social media with all the shame involved. But since you consider yourself honorable, you are left with no option.

Dr, Chris Hart says about such men:
“They are brilliant, often grooming huge numbers of suckers until a small percentage start falling for them. They use all the right words and prey on their victims’ vulnerabilities with great skill,” says Dr Chris Hart, a psychologist.
A common characteristic of these social predators is that they like to try to give an impression that they are doing well financially; talking of big deals they are about to close, showing off big cars, talks of prominent people he has connections with and generally trying to show that they live a high-class life.  But the irony is that they always need money for one thing or another.

SIGNS OF A SOCIAL PREDATOR
  1. If someone is too good to be true, he probably is.
  2. Someone who acts weird - if there are any inconsistencies, if he leaves you with so many unverified questions, tread carefully.
  3. If he asks for money, put up your antenna. Never send money to someone you have never met or who you only met recently.
  4. If you can’t say with surety that you know where he lives or works and his friends and family, and other pertinent information, beware. Do your due diligence and try to verify what he tells you.
  5. Beware if you met on social media and he suggests that you should quickly move to a more private email.
